Job Summary: Responsible for the improved operational uptime of the facility and systems through an expanded Preventative Maintenance program.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain preventative maintenance program through ERP.
  • Repair, adjust, maintain and re-assemble machines, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot primary and secondary manufacturing equipment. 
  • Troubleshoot, repair and fabricate primary and secondary manufacturing equipment including: welding, cutting, assembly, painting, finishing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair a variety of Injection Molding and Auxiliary support equipment, including: Arburg, Van Dorn and Toyo Injection Molding Machines, Ultrasonic Welders and Multi-axis Industrial Robots.
  • Install and qualify above equipment as necessary.
  • Document custom equipment and modifications.
  • Specify and order replacement components to maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Collaborate regularly with multiple departments.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree and a minimum of five years’ experience, or High School diploma / GED and 9 years’ experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Good troubleshooting skills, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics 
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and robotics.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Formal education / training in hydraulic and electrical areas.
  • Experience within the medical device industry.
  • Previous experience using lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Previous ISO experience.
  • Valid driver’s license

 

ADA Requirements:

  • Bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods 
  • Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally
  • Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously
  • Exposure to machine shop physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection
  • Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
