Rohadfox Construction Management is searching for experienced Project Manager ll on a multi-year airport design-build expansion construction project. The Terminal 5 Renovation & Reconstruction (T5 R&R) Low Voltage Special Systems (LVSS) Project Manager reports to the T5 R&R Terminal Project Manager and is responsible for driving and overseeing design and execution of all IT, special systems and technology systems for the T5 R&R project. The T5 R&R LVSS PM provides oversight of the design-builder’s design and execution of IT disciplines per LAWA standards.

This position will act as the primary IT liaison and airport/owner representative responsible for T5 R&R project. Primarily, this role/individual shall act as a liaison between the project and Information Management & Technology (IMT) and manage the details required to execute this effort and rollout, without impact to airport or airline operations. Successful candidate shall display experience with large stakeholder infaces ensuring inclusion, while understanding and driving the small details that go into signage design concepts, installation and activation. The Terminal 5 Program covers the full demolition and rebuild of the Terminal 5 headhouse and concourse, as well as various enabling scopes to vacate the existing building. This position is M-F 8am-5PM Will consider relocation for the right qualified person. Salary range starts at $156,832 (plus) as well as all benefits provided.

Knowledge in IT design and construction practices and methodologies

Management of project within budget and schedule constraints while maintaining all necessary scope elements

Leader in stakeholder engagement to identity, communicate, resolution and accomplishment their needs, while preserving the principles and criteria of the project scope, schedule and budget constraints

Knowledge in design and construction contracting practices and methodologies

Knowledge and experience in the project design life cycle from Concept to Project Definition Book to Permit to Bulletins

Knowledge and experience in the project construction life cycle from Pre-Construction to estimating/buyout to phasing to implementation to Closeout

Ability to assemble KPI’s and decisions needed for Governance and presentation to others, including the executive staff

Maintaining an excellent working relationship with the design and construction professionals geared towards open communications and mutual problem solving in the best interest of the project and all other parties involved

Developing and maintaining a high level of team morale through professionalism that reflects well on the project team, external stakeholders and LAWA/internal stakeholders

Hardware/Software Knowledge

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Ability to work in CAD or REVIT preferred

Familiarity with digital content management systems and other airport IT systems 

Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications

10 years or more experience, preferably on airport projects Experience with projects more than $50 million in value.

Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR and Design/Build

Proven ability to perform in a management capacity

Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations

Education/Training

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or other related technical field required

Master's degree preferred

Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc. or any other relevant professional license or certifications.

Client will provide a desktop computer that can be VPN’d into or a laptop computer Consultant MUST have a company-provided laptop computer. This is required for company business and to VPN into Client system when away from the office as necessary

Cell phone provided by consultant is required This is NOT a work from home position

This is a salaried position based on 40 hours per week at the applicable all-in labor rate. This is a Monday-Friday full-time position in the office or on the project site 

After hours or weekend work may be required to perform the duties of the position. This shall be considered part of the salary

Transportation to/from worksite is the responsibility of the consultant

Must live within commuting distance of job location or be willing to relocate to a location within commuting distance
