Fleet and Safety Manager
We are seeking an experienced Regional Fleet and Safety Manager to oversee fleet operations across multiple locations along the Sun Belt. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of fleet operations, such as maintenance, driver management, and DOT compliance, while supporting company-wide safety programs to maintain OSHA compliance.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented, highly organized, and proactive in optimizing fleet performance while promoting a safe and compliant workplace.
STARTING PAY RANGE, DOE: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 ANNUALIZED SALARY
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Management
- Oversee daily fleet operations across multiple locations, ensuring vehicles are assigned, maintained, and compliant.
- Monitor and report on driver performance, adherence to DOT and company vehicle policies, and provide corrective coaching as needed.
- Manage DMV and DOT registrations, inspections, and documentation.
- Generate and analyze fleet performance reports to identify trends, cost savings, and accountability measures.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and branch managers across locations to ensure timely service and repairs.
- Handle vehicle transport logistics for employees onboarding and offboarding.
- Inform the leadership team of fleet needs, including vehicle purchases, replacement planning, and the retirement of unserviceable assets.
Safety Support
- Assist in managing company safety programs to ensure OSHA compliance across all sites.
- Coordinate accident reporting, insurance claims and incident investigations.
- Ensure accurate annual OSHA log reporting and recordkeeping.
- Support driver and technician safety training initiatives through Paycom LMS.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 5 + years of fleet management experience. Candidates with a background in safety programs such as developing training, managing OSHA compliance, holding OSHA 30 certification, conducting safety audits, or handling accident reporting will be given strong consideration.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Experience managing fleet operations across multiple states, with vehicles distributed across numerous locations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and fleet management systems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
