About the Department
DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the timely and efficient processing of all applications, documentation and other functions in support of the admissions process.
OUTCOMES:
- Integral part of the team whose mission is to enroll students at the College.
Position Duties
- Serves as the primary point person for admission processes and procedures for various undergraduate student populations, including transfers, re-admits, and specialized program applicants. (30%)
- Work with students on the progression of admission materials and successful enrollment throughout the recruitment process through matriculation. (20%)
- Coordinates and interacts with enrollment management team members, faculty, staff, and students in discipline specific program areas for sound admission processes and procedures. (10%)
- Assists with new programs and developing of new processes in the admissions data system (Slate) for undergraduate transfers and re-admit students (10%)
- Completes data entry, maintains data integrity, completes file uploads as required in support of timely admissions processing (10%)
- Complete other office support functions including filing, answering telephones and responding to prospective student inquiries and questions, and typing or printing letters and forms relative to application processing and admission decisions, mailings (10%)
- Prepare periodic progress reports as needed (5%)
- Other duties as assigned (5%)
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of customer relationship management system (CRMs) preferred
- Minimum of three years working in an office setting
Other Qualifications
- Advanced computer literacy with significant experience using Microsoft Office and Google
- Ability to pay attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, goal-oriented environment
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written skills with the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of individuals, e.g., students, parents, staff, executives, faculty, etc.
