Boeing Canada Operations LtdBoeing Canada Winnipeg (BCW) is seeking an Associate Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist reporting to the EHS Manager, working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba, site. The EHS Specialist will join the EHS Department and will be responsible for company compliance with environment health and safety regulations, and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
The selected candidate will work with all BCW departments and Supplier Management to determine chemicals that are no longer used by the site, review the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) handbook, archive products no longer used in WHMIS Inventory and work obtaining Globally Harmonized System (GHS) compliant, SDS from suppliers and doing updates in Enablon. In addition, the candidate will help facilitate our EHS training management process for new hires and internal transfers by rostering training, direct pushing online based training in MyLearning system, and supporting scheduling of on site in person training and assessments.
Position Responsibilities:
Performs basic self-assessments, investigates routine incidents and provides corrective action.
Reviews Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
Maintains and analyzes basic records and provides reports on compliance performance to internal customers.
Supports internal customers on EHS processes, programs, issues and requirements.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Winnipeg location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience or knowledge of the environment, health and safety
1+ years of experience working in aerospace or manufacturing environment
Experience working with Microsoft office (Microsoft; Excel, word, PowerPoint)
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Post-secondary education
Experience in SAP
Experience in MyLearning System
Experience with Enablon
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
