Isaiah House is looking for a supportive and dedicated individual to take on the role of Recovery Mentor.
This is a regular full-time position working 11:30am- 10:00pm Mon-Thurs.

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as a positive role model for clients by acting and speaking with integrity
- Be available for one-on-one support when requested
- Assist in leading structured activity groups
- Share relevant personal recovery experiences to encourage clients
- Promote client voice and choice during planning and implementation of goals
- Support client retention and provide crisis intervention when needed
- Advocate for clients by attending or accompanying them to team meetings if requested
- Encourage clients to build confidence and advocate for themselves
- Work closely with other departments to improve the client experience and retention efforts
- Document client interactions, structured activities, and progress notes in KIPU
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Programs/Operations Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- APSS certified, or eligible to obtain certification upon hire
- Minimum of one year of sobriety and demonstrate ongoing recovery
- Lived experience with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring challenges, and a demonstrated pattern of recovery
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license
Requirements
- Adhere to Isaiah House policies and procedures
- Attend mandatory in-services and other training/educational programs as required
- Hold APSS certification
- Maintain APSS certification
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist and support clients who may require reasonable accommodation
