Arconic Tennessee Operations has an opportunity for a Supply Chain OSP Planning Coordinator at our Alcoa, Tennessee location. This opening is located at one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world. Our plants produce high-quality molten metal and aluminum sheet and are recognized as a world leader in the business. The facility has been located at the Foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains for one hundred years and continues to thrive and grow.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with responsibility for planning and coordinating metal being send to outside processors. This position requires excellent communication skills as the incumbent will be working directly with production, finance, and procurement departments and managers daily. This position requires the ability to work occasional weekends and off shifts.
Responsibilities
The incumbent's responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Plan and manage to ensure that material processed at the Outside Processor (OSP) is clocked and shipped to arrive at the final customer location meeting delivery due dates.
- Coordinates flow of materials, produced at the OSP through the respective internal processes.
- Resolve discrepant metal, monitor aged inventory, and analyze information for solutions.
- Coordinate and ensure that customer product strategically positioned for long term production outages at OSP as needed.
- Ensure all sample requests are coordinated and managed for all OSP locations.
- Review and approve production invoicing submissions from the OSP locations.
- Manage transportation carrier performance and reporting, to include problem solving missed pickup/deliveries, calculate and report carrier cost information, ensure carrier requirements are met, etc. for OSP.
- Manage improvement opportunities (DI's), project execution, tracking, and updating.
- Process and gather information to support freight claim requests associated with OSP material.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- 1 year of related experience
- Employes must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Logistics, or other related field
- 2 years of related experience
- Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Office
- Proficient with spreadsheets, including Excel
- Knowledge in SAP, Oracle, or other inventory management system
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of ABS or Lean Manufacturing principles
- Strong problem solving and communication skills to communicate with all levels of the organization required.
- Must be able to demonstrate multitasking skills and be able to work independently and with cross functional teams.
