FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Full/Time

Salary Range: $21.00 - $25.00

Summary: 

We seek a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver / Warehouse Worker to join our team. This role involves delivering products to customers in a timely, safe manner and assisting with warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and inventory management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of handling physical tasks.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Delivery Driver Duties:

  • Safely operate company vehicles (vans, trucks, etc.) to deliver goods to customers or job sites.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles with care to avoid damage.
  • Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled delivery times.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery orders before leaving the warehouse.
  • Interact with customers professionally, ensuring satisfaction with the delivery.
  • Obtain signatures and documentation to confirm deliveries.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure road safety (check tire pressure, oil, fuel levels, etc.).
  • Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Make sure the vehicle is clean and tidy inside and out. 
  • Report any accidents, delivery issues, or vehicle malfunctions to management.

Warehouse Duties:

  • Assist in receiving, unloading, and storing incoming shipments.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring products are labeled and stored correctly.
  • Conduct routine inventory checks to report any discrepancies or shortages.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or hand trucks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols while handling materials and using equipment.
  • Assist in other warehouse tasks as assigned by supervisors.

  • Time Management: The individual effectively prioritizes tasks to manage multiple customer inquiries and issues. Completes tasks.
  • Adaptability—The individual adapts to changing customer needs, policies, and technologies. Remains calm and effective under pressure during high-volume periods. Quickly learn new procedures and systems as required. 

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver and/or warehouse worker is preferred.
  • Ability to operate delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment safely.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs.) and perform manual labor for extended periods.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and handle multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to driving and warehouse operations.
  • Forklift certification (a plus but not required).

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.  

 

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, invoices, SOP, and instructions; write routine reports and correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one situations and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other employees.

 

Math Skills:    

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:   

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Identifies problems, gathers information, and offers solutions.

 

Computer Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Proficiency with email is required.  

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The physical demands and work environment described below represent the activities and surroundings of the positions.   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. 

  • Work is performed both indoors (warehouse) and outdoors (delivering goods).
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Shift hours may vary, and occasional overtime may be required.
  • The employee must be able to reach with hands and arms to type frequently throughout the day.        
  • Vision is required as the incumbent is required to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form.  
  • The incumbent may regularly be required to lift and carry up to fifteen pounds of documents such as reports, invoices, supplies, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods. The employee is also frequently required to talk and hear on the telephone and in person with individuals and groups. The employee must be able to reach with hands and arms. Type frequently throughout the day. Vision is required as the incumbent is required to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form.
