About the Position:
As a Sales Manager at Treetops Resort, you are responsible for generating revenue through corporate sales, with a focus on meetings, conferences, and corporate retreats. This hybrid role requires strong self-management skills, with the ability to work remotely and attend in-office meetings 4 days per month. The first 30 days of employment will be spent on property to fully immerse the candidate in the resort’s offerings and culture. The ideal candidate is a dynamic sales professional with experience in corporate group sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities:

Generate corporate group sales by identifying, prospecting, and securing new business, focusing on meetings, conferences, team-building retreats, and corporate events.

Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at businesses, organizations, and event planners to secure group bookings.

Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets for corporate sales.

Conduct site visits and resort tours, showcasing the resort’s facilities, amenities, and unique offerings to potential clients.

Prepare proposals, contracts, and presentations tailored to the specific needs of corporate clients.

Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless execution of corporate events, from booking to completion.

Maintain accurate records of sales activity, client interactions, and contracts using the resort’s CRM system.

Attending industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the resort’s corporate client base.

Stay current on industry trends and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.

Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the Director of Sales.

Qualifications
Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age and with a valid driver’s license.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality or a related field.

Must reside in the state of Michigan.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality sales.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (experience with Delphi, SMS, or Club Prophet is preferred).

Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a similar role.

Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment.

Flexibility to travel to the resort for in-office meetings and client site visits as required.
