Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer (Company-Wide) is responsible for developing, standardizing, and improving manufacturing processes across all company operations. This role will collaborate with production, assembly, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize workflow, enhance productivity, and ensure consistent quality standards throughout the organization. The Manufacturing Engineer will identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and support initiatives that drive operational excellence across all facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Process Standardization & Improvement
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes across multiple departments and facilities.
- Develop and implement standardized work instructions, SOPs, and best practices to ensure consistency company-wide.
- Identify areas of waste, inefficiency, or quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Production & Operations Support
- Collaborate with department managers to support production, assembly, and testing operations.
- Provide technical guidance and training to manufacturing teams on new or improved processes.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement solutions to reduce downtime and defects.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Collaborate with design and product engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Develop scalable assembly processes and workflows for company-wide implementation.
Quality & Compliance
- Partner with the Manufacturing Quality Control Engineer to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen.
- Track performance metrics and conduct root cause analysis to maintain high-quality output.
Tooling, Equipment & Technology
- Recommend, design, and implement manufacturing tools, fixtures, and automation solutions.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment across all sites.
- Introduce and support new manufacturing technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably in a company-wide capacity.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making ability.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, process improvement, and workflow optimization.
- Proficiency in CAD software (NX CAD, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and company-wide production management.
- Excellent communication, training, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Project management skills to lead company-wide improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, ISO, 3A, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other data analysis/reporting tools.
