About the Employer

The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office acts as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County to help meet the educational needs of all children county-wide. We are committed to working with our school districts, other agencies, families and the community at large by providing services, information and leadership, always with a focus on students.

Job Summary

The School Nurse provides individual health care to ill, medically fragile and/or injured students; is responsible for providing health information; and serves as a resource to teachers, staff and administration in identifying health problems and treatment recommendations.

Required Documents

NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION • Completed Ed-Join online application (all fields must be filled in); • Current resume; • Copy of Baccalaureate degree transcripts; • Copy of valid California School Nurse Credential and/or valid California Registered Nurse License with the ability to apply for the California School nurse Credential, upon employment; • Copy of valid CPR/First Aid Certification • One (1) current letter of reference (dated within the last three years). Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and submit all necessary materials on-line prior to the stated deadline for further consideration. Copy of Valid California Driver’s License is required prior to start of employment.

Minimum Qualifications • Valid Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited institution; • Valid California School Nurse Credential and/or valid California Registered Nurse License with the ability to apply for the California School Nurse Credential upon employment; • Valid CPR/First Aid Certification;
