Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical tax expertise to our tax-exempt clients including but not limited to: 501(c)3 public charities, private foundations (operating and non-operating), 501(c)4, 501(c)5, 501(c)6, 501(c)7, VEBAs, multi-entity related and affiliated organizations, and political action committees
  • Provide state compliance, unrelated business income compliance, and public support calculation advisory services
  • Maintain expenditure responsibility
  • Provide advice on tax credits available to tax-exempt entities
  • Present complex tax matters to boards of directors and trustees in a clear and efficient manner and to a broad range of experience levels
  • Participate in client planning meetings, understand a client's goals, and determine appropriate charitable giving opportunities
  • Collaborate as an exceptional team player in a team environment coordinating service with multiple tax specialty areas
  • Manage a list of clients ensuring timely completion of all required tax returns
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of preparers ensuring adequate training in the tax-exempt service area

What You'll Need to be Successful:

  • Active CPA license
  • At least 3-5 years non-profit tax experience including a manger level
  • Strong management, teamwork, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products, Advance Flow, and CCH Axcess
