The Inside Sales Representative works alongside the Team Sales Representatives and National Sales Manager to strategically expand business within the team dealer market. The position will require working in our Bentonville, AR home office in a team atmosphere across multiple divisions. This position requires building customer relationships, assisting with providing solutions for challenging orders as well as suggestive consultative selling. Must be flexible in shifting to the daily demands of the workflow including assisting multi-line reps who need immediate assistance.  

 

The perfect candidate has an outgoing personality and the ability to build rapport over the phone quickly as well as influence customer’s decision to buy. They are an experienced professional with a proven ability to be organized, focused and highly self-motivated while building relationships by contacting customers, execute business strategies and drive sales growth. Team Sports experience is preferred.  

 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Demonstrates a robust knowledge of Outdoor Cap’s brands, products, and systems with the ability to communicate Outdoor Cap’s value proposition.  
  • Responsible for opening new accounts and further growing existing accounts by delivering a focused and sales specific calls daily by contacting customers via phone, hold virtual webinars and host consultative product sessions.
  • Collaborates and fosters teamwork with multi-line reps, account leads, designers, and sales support to drive sales with existing and new accounts.  
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and transparency in communications and business dealings with customers and fellow teammates. Displays willingness to help and 'win" trust. 
  • Handles and communicates with various types of Team Dealers, Distributors and reps while offering creative and viable solutions to their needs that in turn grow sales.  
  • Upholds Outdoor Cap's Mission-Vision-Values and Founder’s Pillars by acting with integrity; working together as a team; treating each other with respect.  

 

 

Skills and Competencies 

  • Advanced level technical abilities including computer experience in Microsoft Office products (especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams).
  • Excellent communicator (visual, written, virtually and verbal) and a creative thinker with the ability to deliver solutions for customer requests with OC’s current domestic and custom programs.
  • Highly collaborative, able to establish and maintain relationships and displays strong leadership abilities to influence and work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent time management, multi-task oriented, organized, and keen sense of personal accountability.

Establishes vision and strategy with the customer and develops joint business plans that capture key goals and priorities.
  • Financial Acumen: “Know your numbers.” Demonstrates commitment to achieving sales goals while leading a team to exceed expectations. Develops pricing and promotional strategies that contribute to Outdoor Cap’s financial goals.
  • Effectively communicates a monthly territory summary that details all related sales activities within the outlined objectives and projections in addition to forecasted orders for growth.

 

Education and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or institution in Business, Marketing or related field, or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Experience in high-volume outbound calling with a concentration in relationship-based sales.
  • 2-3 years sales background a plus with cursory understanding of the industry, the marketplace, the competition, and an understanding of our customer’s needs.

 

Physical/Mental Requirements 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend, and move inside the office to access files and product.
  • Some domestic travel to trade shows.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and operate other office machinery.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.  
  • Ability to move 10-20 lbs. occasionally throughout day.
  • Periodically lifting of up to 40lbs in tradeshow or sales call environment.
  • Able to hear a telephone ring.
