Position Summary

The Director of Digital Enablement and Development leads the strategic advancement of digital platforms, enterprise reporting/analytics, and custom software solutions that drive operational insights and empower teams across the enterprise. This role is responsible for shaping and executing a roadmap that integrates intuitive, scalable tools aligned with business priorities, while fostering a data-driven culture and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital capabilities. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Technology Leadership 

  • Develop and execute a digital enablement, reporting, and software development roadmap aligned with organizational priorities
  • Lead implementation and optimization of data platforms, dashboards, and self-service analytics tools
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of custom software solutions that support business operations and automation
  • Partner with functional teams to identify opportunities for digital process improvement, automation, and data visibility
  • Drive user adoption of digital tools and applications through training, enablement programs, and intuitive design
  • Ensure data governance, integrity, and integration across platforms and business functions
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and executive leadership to deliver actionable insights and scalable solutions
  • Manage vendor relationships and external partners supporting reporting, software development, and digital tools

Enterprise Systems Ownership 

  • Drive utilization of all enterprise-wide business systems, including ERP, MRP, MES, CRM, business intelligence, data integrity mapping, and data management platforms.
  • Ensure proper system configuration, integration, and scalability to support operations, finance, sales, supply chain, and customer-facing functions.

Cybersecurity & Compliance 

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of cybersecurity protocols across digital platforms, ensuring protection of sensitive data and operational continuity.
  • Oversee compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR), including audits, risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with IT and functional teams to ensure digital operations meet internal governance policies and external compliance mandates, while enabling secure innovation and scalability of digital platforms.

Budget & Financial Management 

  • Support the development of annual budget needs for all digital tools and software development initiatives. 
  • Develop 1-3 year investment roadmap as part of the budgeting process.

Performance Metrics 

  • Increased adoption of self-service analytics and digital tools
  • Delivery of custom applications that streamline workflows and improve efficiency
  • Improved data quality, accessibility, and integration across systems
  • Strong internal feedback on usability, training, and support
  • On-time delivery of reporting and software projects with measurable business impact

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in digital enablement, analytics, or software development leadership
  • Proven success implementing enterprise analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and leading software development initiatives
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and integration strategies
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and enablement specialists
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and Change Management skills
  • Experience overseeing a portfolio of projects and ensuring they align with organization’s strategic goals and deliver expected outcomes.
