TITLE: Accounting Specialist
POSITION STATUS: Full Time
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
LOCATION: Indianapolis, IN
REPORTS TO: Director of Accounting
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., in addition one weekend a year for required Section meetings.

WHO YOU ARE:
The Accounting Specialist will provide support for the finance and operations department including accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate is well organized, detail-oriented, and is able to work well independently as well as on a team. Prior experience with Acumatica or a similar ERP system is a plus. The USTA/Midwest Section offers an environment that is focused on providing a work/life balance to all employees. WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:
- Accounts Payable for multiple organizations - Entering payables, etc.
- Accounts Receivable for multiple organizations - Creating invoices, processing deposits, etc.
- Account reconciliations for multiple organizations
- Credit card reconciliations for multiple organizations
- Maintain CRM database
- Other accounting and clerical tasks as needed
SPECIAL PROJECTS:
- Assist with external audit preparation
- Assist with annual 1099 IRS filings
- Assist with annual budget preparations
- Assist with semi annual section meetings

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- High School Diploma - required
- Associate Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business - preferred
- 2+ years in related experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting - required
- Experience in working with multiple divisions or companies - preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or similar software - required
- Experience with accounting software - required
- Strong attention to detail - required
- Strong organizational skills - required
- Ability to prioritize tasks required
