Position Summary
Account Management is responsible for overseeing and growing key accounts in the janitorial and facilities services field. This function ensures exceptional service delivery, strengthens client relationships, identifies opportunities for additional services, and drives revenue growth. The ideal candidate or team member in Account Management combines operational oversight with proactive relationship management, becoming a trusted partner for clients while supporting the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship & Retention
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring consistent communication and responsiveness.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with client stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site visits and review meetings to ensure satisfaction and address service concerns promptly.
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions.
Operational Oversight
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure cleaning and facilities services meet or exceed quality standards and contractual agreements.
- Monitor service delivery performance, including staffing levels, schedules, and equipment needs.
- Lead issue resolution efforts quickly and effectively, minimizing disruption to client operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Growth & Revenue Development
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts, including additional cleaning services, specialized facility projects, and seasonal work.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals and present solutions to clients.
- Meet or exceed revenue growth targets through strategic account management, including expanding services to additional client locations.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of client communications, service updates, and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Prepare account performance reports, including KPIs, service metrics, and client feedback.
- Track and manage contract renewals to ensure retention and timely negotiation
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in account management, operations, or client services, preferably in cleaning, facilities management, or related industries.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address service issues effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM systems preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning industry best practices and health & safety standards is an asset.
