We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality monitoring and verification activities including:

    • Net weights and volume checks

    • Portion control verification

    • Packaging integrity inspections

    • Hot/hold and product performance checks

    • Receiving and specification checks

    • Product consistency testing (e.g., viscometer readings)

  • Conduct product sampling and testing protocols to support evaluations of new products, packaging, and ingredients.

  • Verify product labels for accuracy, ensuring proper ingredient lists, allergen and nutrition fact declarations, and legibility.

  • Assist QA leadership with investigations by collecting data, documenting issues, and supporting root cause analysis.

  • Participate in corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives by providing accurate testing and reporting.

  • Support laboratory activities including sample preparation, calibration checks, and testing.

  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the QA Manager or Quality Systems Manager.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Basic knowledge of Quality Assurance/Control principles, HACCP, GMP, and Sanitation SOPs

  • 1–3 years of experience in food production or a related industry

  • Familiarity with USDA/FDA food safety and labeling requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and 10-key

  • Good oral and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field

  • HACCP Certification

  • Certified Professional Food Manager or Quality Auditor Certification
