Position Overview
The FSL Student Engagement Assistant will support the overall communication, marketing, and engagement strategy for the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life. This role focuses on promoting programs and events through social media, representing FSL at campus events, and helping plan and execute community-wide initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage content across FSL’s social media platforms to promote events, spotlight members, and share important updates.
- Speak and represent FSL at campus tabling events, interest sessions, and orientation programs.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing large-scale community-wide programs such as Greek Week, educational workshops, and service initiatives.
- Collaborate with student leaders, councils, and chapters to promote shared events and initiatives.
- Ensure website and social media content are current, accurate, and aligned with the office’s branding and objectives.
- Design innovative marketing materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other tools to support FSL initiatives.
- Maintain ongoing projects, communicate regularly with the supervisor, and deliver assignments by deadlines.
- Participate in regular check-ins with the supervisor and contribute to office meetings as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable speaking to groups and representing the office publicly.
- Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and digital content creation.
- Graphic design experience (Adobe Suite, Canva preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive work ethic, ability to work independently, and maintain confidentiality.
- Weekly check-ins with supervisor are required
