Job Title: Interlibrary Loan Assistant

Length of Time: Eligible for rehire on a semester basis.
Department Description
Interlibrary loan provides patrons with materials borrowed from other libraries. As a student employee you will gain experience working in an academic library, while enhancing your knowledge of library procedures.
Job Description
Student will be responsible for gathering library materials for lending, keeping records using excel spreadsheets, using specialized ILL software, and packing and shipping of books and other library materials.
Job Location/ Hours Required
The candidate will perform most/all job duties in Smith Library. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to 6 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Gather library materials for lending.
- Pack books and other materials.
- Enter record keeping information into appropriate spreadsheets.
- Use ILL software to process requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must be detail oriented, punctual, and responsible.
Desired Skills:
- Must have a minimum 2.3 overall GPA
- Some computer skills
- Good communication skills
