Full-Time Hourly Administrator (Level 15)

Hourly Range: $30 - $33 (Annual salary is commensurate with experience)

Position Reports to Director of User Success/Learning Technologies 

This position will be open until filled. Review of applications will begin on September 7, 2025.

 

*This position requires the PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances to be submitted to Human Resources prior to the first day of employment.

 

**This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between campuses  but will be based at the Pottstown Campus.

 

Basic Purpose: 

In collaboration with others in the College community, design and develop rich learning environments, provide technical support and course design support, and provide professional development training. In addition, promote the use of instructional technologies, design, learning practices, and resource management through various methods, with a focus on pedagogical enhancements in support of student success and employee development.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides support for faculty, staff, and administration in the effective use of new and current instructional and professional development approaches, and technologies to enrich the classroom and the employee experience; including, but not limited to: instructional design and technical training approaches, utilization and model appropriate use of artificial intelligence, process improvements, and orientations. 
  • Build employee awareness of what technology and professional development opportunities are currently available; implements (and promotes the use of) instructional technologies throughout the College; and design, develop, and deliver resources, not limited to, self-help documentation, online video tutorials, workshops and trainings to support the ED&TM team. 
  • Provides assistance and consults (1-on-1 or group meetings) with faculty, staff, and administration in developing instructional uses of technologies and course design to support their work.
  • Collaborating with and supporting instructors, supervisors, and the ED&TM team to create learning experiences throughout all stages of design and development (i.e., defined learning objectives, course maps, outlines, scripts, slides, videos, assignments, activities, compliance reviews, beta-tests, and preparing final products for launch)
  • Helps maintain data tracking and develop additional assessment tools for measuring the effectiveness of instructional design and technology in the College’s academic and institutional-wide.
  • Identify, design, develop, deliver, and assess professional development sessions that support the ED&TM team and align with the mission, vision, and strategic goals/objectives of the institution; able to offer in multiple modalities (e.g., asynchronous and synchronous online tutorials, face-to-face, hybrid/flex, and in small groups, or large workshops).
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

 

Education/Training/Work Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Education, or related fields.
  • 3 years' experience in software training, course design, or instructional technology, preferred. 

 

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Working Knowledge of: current instructional technologies and instructional design principles and techniques; Microsoft Office 365 (e.g., Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint); lecture capture software; learning management systems (LMS – Canvas); accessibility; and artificial intelligence (AI and GAI).
  • Ability to Assist: development of instructional materials; basic troubleshot technical processes; and enter, organize, maintain, and analyze data;
  • Team Dynamics: Establish cooperative working relationships with the community, collaborate and support colleagues on the team and their projects, and actively address cases related to the department that are forwarded from the IT Service Desk.
  • Independent: able to learn and adapt to new technologies or approaches at a rapid pace, manage priorities for multiple projects and various deadlines, and can adapt if priorities shift; strong problem-solving skills; customer service skills and ability to work with all levels of experience and backgrounds.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written format for various levels of fluency, multicultural environments, and diverse populations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • To provide flexibility in assigned work hours (e.g., periodically attending evening events) and campus location (Pottstown, PA, and Blue Bell, PA).
