Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Achieves warehouse operations operational objectives by contributing warehouse
operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing
and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and
customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends.
• Meets warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an
annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Consults with Hills Delivery Service (HDS) with concerns or needs.
• Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling
systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.
• Leads process change initiatives and CI activities
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional
publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Addresses performance gaps with Supervisors and their teams
• Provides training as needed to internal teams on specification and investigations to drive
issue resolution
• Conducts benefits enrollment for new Team Members.
• Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books current.
• Maintains Human Resource Information System records and reports.
• Maintains compliance with Federal and State Regulations
• Ensures Team Member changes, updates, etc. are sent to Corporate Payroll for timely
payroll submission.
• Sends all payroll related voluntary and involuntary deductions such as garnishments, tax
levies, and other special payroll entries to corporate Payroll for processing.
• Confers with Team Members to complete on-boarding paperwork, and prepares all
documents for submission to Corporate HR.
• Consults with Team Members to complete benefit enrollment once they become eligible
ensuring information is accurate before submitting to Corporate HR for processing.
• Completes termination documentation in a timely manner, ensuring Team Members are
paid any hours owed and benefits terminated accordingly by sending Employee Action
Form (EAF) to Corporate HR for processing.
• Submits any FMLA/LOA related documentation to Corporate HR and tracks FMLA leave
(regular and intermittent leave).
• Prepare staff work schedules and assigns specific duties
• Manages, mentors and motivates supervisory personnel to handle Team Member’s
concerns, complaints and developmental needs.
• Oversees supervision of facility and warehouse Team Members.
• Coaches, trains and develops hourly Team Members and front-line managers.
• Monitors and audits operations to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide
needed services.
• Initiates, innovates and drives continuous improvement in the facility and warehouse
operational systems, processes and policies.
• Determines and implements staffing levels to achieve customer success.
• Conducts performance evaluations.
• Conducts disciplinary follow-up as required.
• Handles customer complaints, settling disputes and resolving grievances and conflicts.
• Operates a forklift.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Education: Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience: Five (5) years previous work experience in high paced warehouse and
production environment. Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Green Belt.
• Computer Skills: Strong computer skills MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
Ability to master internal computer systems, including SAP.
