Pay Range: $73,686.34 to $110,529.64 

Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

 

Kwik Trip’s Information Technology team is seeking a Software Developer to help design, build, and support innovative solutions that drive our business forward. This role plays a key part in enabling Kwik Trip’s mission to serve our customers, co-workers, and suppliers through technology.

Responsibilities:

As a Software Developer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing software solutions that meet business needs
  • Investigating and analyzing user requests to create effective technical solutions
  • Writing clean, efficient code using best practices and departmental standards
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation for users and support teams
  • Performing thorough unit, system, and integration testing
  • Supporting and maintaining existing applications
  • Participating in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call support schedule
  • Leading and coordinating project tasks, including scope, timelines, and implementation plans

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Associate degree required (Computer Science or related field preferred)
  • 2–4 years of experience in application programming and systems analysis

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: RPGLE, SAP ABAP, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, C+, .NET
  • Strong understanding of database design and architecture
  • Experience with file transfer protocols and web services (FTP, SFTP, XML, REST, SOAP, JSON)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet project deadlines

Work Schedule:

Daytime hours, Monday through Friday. May include rotating on-call support.
