Position Summary:  The Marketing/Sales Representative will initiate and maintain relationships with area medical providers and community societies in order to expand referral base for Dent Neurologic Institute’s three locations. This position will work in conjunction with DNI physicians, managers, and other company representatives as directed.

 

Responsibilities

  • Interact with physicians, hospitals and other healthcare organizations to promote DNI services
  • Coordinate the logistics for speaking events, public forums, lunches and marketing events as delegated by the Director of Marketing and additional administrative leaders
  • Formulate and present marketing ideas and strategies to DNI management in an effort to increase and maintain patient referrals
  • Ability to “cold call” in an attempt to build long term relationships with referring community
  • Ability to prepare marketing collateral for internal and external services
  • Provide accurate management reports on a monthly basis
  • Maintain accurate account records and database of customers/providers
  • Other duties as assigned and requested

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 year degree in marketing or equivalent experience in marketing/sales within medical environment 
  • Proficiency in required software packages including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva and PowerPoint
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who can maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently; strong time management skills
  • High degree of communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written in interaction with others and ability to effectively communicate in a manner relevant to clients’ specific needs
  • Capable of sound judgment to determine appropriate course of action in response to a variety of internal and external demands
  • Willingness to learn and grow as technology advances
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet operational needs
  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with management and clients of the DNI
  • Must maintain a reliable automobile; must maintain current NYS Driver’s License and required insurance

 

 

Work Environment

  • Office setting with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Requires driving
  • Must be able to actively interact with community
  • Evening and weekend events (intermittent)
