The Receiving/Materials Handler Team Lead is responsible for resolving order fulfillment issues by investigating problems, analyzing details, developing solutions, and providing feedback to management.  This is a dynamic role that is key in supporting a team of operators focused on fulfilling large order volume for a variety of customers. This person must have a positive, can-do attitude, be self-motivated and driven. This position serves as a liaison between Distribution and many other departments to ensure operations -related functions are communicated and executed properly. The purpose of this position is to train and support operators so that fulfillment objectives are achieved, and business is grown.


 The position for Receiving/Materials Hander Team Lead will be open until August 29, 2025. 


 Key Responsibilities for Receiving/Materials Handler Team Lead: 

  

  • Leads by example and trains team members to help ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity. 
  • Assists supervisor and manager with executing daily plan, maintaining operational windows and systematic cleanliness. 
  • Aides with decision-making, and process improvement needed to meet daily department objectives. 
  • Trains new hires on daily tactical tasks.
  • Provides the first level of maintenance troubleshooting and diagnosis of errors with the ERP system, orders, and machinery. Supplies details to Supervisor or Manager for further evaluation when necessary. 
  • Responsible for being available to work with employees and answer questions daily. 
  • Evaluates priority orders and ensures they are handled.
  • Content expert in subdepartment.
  • Ensures necessary documentation is compiled and utilized for end of shift progress report. 
  • Actively monitors lines of communication and serves as customer service representative for other internal departments.
  • Ensures proper shutdown of distribution facility at end of shift. 

  


Requirements

 

High School diploma or GED.

3+ years of warehouse operations or logistics experience.

Demonstration of strong leadership skills. 

Experience with training preferred.

Must be organized and detail oriented.

Previous experience using WMS and ERP system required. 

Basic computer knowledge required, including ability to navigate internal and external internet resources. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SmartSheet a plus. 

Ability to think creatively, be positive and be innovative.

Adapt quickly to the everchanging business requirements and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Ability to cultivate internal relationships and healthy team dynamic. 

Must have a persistent, determined, can-do attitude with patience and resilience to push through and find solutions to challenges.

Must have a high level of energy and enthusiasm to be and make the team successful.

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.

Ability to stand and walk for the 8-hour shift.

Must be able to communicate fluently (read, write, and speak) in English.

Work Hours: This is a regular, benefits-eligible, 1st shift position with normal hours M-F: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. Overtime and/or weekend hours may be required. 


Compensation: Hiring pay range $23.00 - $27.00/hour, DOQ.
