Position Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Developer to join our team supporting a dynamic portfolio of intranet applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Python, as well as creating web service integrations using tools like Boomi or MuleSoft. Full stack experience in a collaborative environment is essential, the successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge sharing and adapting across a diverse and evolving technical stack.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain API integrations using technologies like Boomi or similar
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient applications using Java and Python and web frameworks such as React or Vue
- Develop and maintain SQL databases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop functionality
- Troubleshoot and debug web applications and web services using testing frameworks and debugging tools
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Evaluate new tools, architectures, and approaches for a secure enterprise
- Balance operational support with opportunities for innovation
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with at least 5+ years of experience maintaining enterprise applications
- Proficiency in API integration technologies like Boomi or MuleSoft, and foundational understanding of REST and SOAP
- Proficiency in Java, Spring framework a plus
- Proficiency in Python (3.x)
- Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Experience with web front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g. React, Vue, Falcon, Bootstrap, jQuery)
- Experience with SQL databases
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and familiarity with debugging tools
- Experience working within an Agile development framework using the Atlassian toolset (i.e. JIRA, Confluence)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of developing web applications on WebSphere or WebLogic application server and Tomcat web server will be given preference
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server, Postgres
- Experience working under compliance constraints
- Experience creating data ETL pipelines and automating CI/CD deployments
- Familiarity with containerization using Podman, Docker, or OpenShift
- Familiarity with Oracle Apex or other rapid application development platforms
- Familiarity with Apache Solr is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Microsoft Azure is a plus
