Sales Development Representative – BrandEd

Reports to: ED of Customer Engagement 
Location: Remote. Candidates on the East and West Coast preferred, but all U.S. applicants will be considered

Classification: Non-Exempt
Employment Type: Full-time

Hourly Rate: $26.44 to $29.81

Position Summary

We're seeking motivated Sales Development Representatives to join our collaborative, team-oriented environment to drive enrollment in our premium pre-college programs. This junior sales role is perfect for ambitious individuals who thrive in a supportive team culture while building their sales career and making a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys. You'll work closely with our marketing and admissions teams to generate leads, qualify prospects, and ensure a seamless experience for families seeking exceptional pre-college programs for their teens.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include the following, but the individual will also be expected to perform all the duties necessary which are customarily performed by a person holding this position. Other duties may be assigned.

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Conduct targeted outbound prospecting through phone calls, emails, and social media outreach
  • Research and identify potential families and students who align with our program offerings
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and website inquiries with sales tech platforms
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective students, families, and B2B organizations that we partner with.

 

 

 

Sales Activities

  • Execute strategic outreach campaigns to engage prospects at early stages of the enrollment funnel.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand family/organization needs, student interests, and educational goals
  • Present program benefits and value propositions tailored to individual student and organization profiles
  • Schedule qualified appointments for the Admissions team
  • Follow up consistently with prospects through multiple touchpoints

 

CRM Management & Sales Technology

  • Leverage our advanced sales tech stack to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system
  • Utilize sales automation tools for sequencing, follow-ups, and lead nurturing
  • Track all prospect interactions, communications, and pipeline progression across multiple platforms
  • Analyze lead sources and conversion metrics using advanced analytics tools
  • Generate regular reports on activity levels, lead quality, and conversion rates
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with privacy regulations
  • Stay current with new sales technologies and recommend process improvements

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with marketing team to align on lead generation strategies and campaign messaging
  • Collaborate with admissions team to ensure seamless prospect handoff and enrollment experience
  • Participate in regular team meetings to share market insights and prospect feedback
  • Work collectively to refine lead qualification criteria and improve conversion rates
  • Contribute to cross-departmental strategy sessions and process improvement initiatives
  • Support team-based problem solving and knowledge sharing across departments

 

Required Qualifications and Education, Work Experience /or Licensure 

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of sales, customer service, or business development experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong phone presence and ability to build rapport quickly
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, or similar)
  • Experience with sales automation and prospecting tools strongly preferred
  • Comfort with learning and adapting to new sales technologies
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
  • Data analysis capabilities and comfort with sales reporting tools
  • Strong team player with experience in collaborative environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across departments
  • Self-motivated with exceptional work ethic and drive for results
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sales engagement platforms
  • Familiarity with prospecting tools
  • Experience in education, EdTech, or premium services sales
  • Familiarity with international education or study abroad programs
  • Multilingual capabilities (Spanish) a bonus
  • Understanding of social media for professional prospecting
  • Ability to travel domestically 10-15% of the year
  • We’re looking for someone who can be flexible with their schedule. While we aim for consistency, some projects or events may require occasional adjustments to hours.
