JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for leading a team of service professionals within a defined district of branch offices within the Branch Delivery network: providing branch management with leadership, coaching and direction in the areas of identifying needs, services, customer concerns, operations, human resources, business development, and community involvement. This role reinforces the Bank's mission, vision and values and ensures the desired results are achieved by serving as a culture agent, motivating employees to achieve higher standards and promote a commitment to excellence in identifying needs, services, knowledge/training and technology driven products and processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Leadership of Team (30%)
- Hires, develops, and promotes based on performance and commitment to excellence (driving results).
- Conducts consistent Team Huddles (Weekly) and 1:1s with direct reports.
- Evaluates performance on a continual basis, providing coaching as needed.
- Performs quality quarterly evaluation of Branch Managers performance (QRs).
Development of Team (30%)
- Continually evaluates employee engagement by interacting with branch teams and nurturing a positive environment.
- Designs, implements, and coaches to individual development plans while empowering Branch Managers to do the same for their direct team (career pathing).
- Expects and inspects “ownership” from Branch Managers in regard to leadership of people, management of client experience, and management of an operationally sound branch.
Management of Client Experience (20%)
- Conducts consistent Stakeholders Meetings (Monthly).
- Empowers Branch Managers to coach to established KPIs (Loans, DDA, SAV, Partner Referral, etc.) at branch level while holding Branch Managers accountable for said team goals.
- Promotes and observes client experience culture, ensure teammates demonstrate ability to effectively identify client needs.
Management of Operationally Sound Market (20%)
- Ensures that bank policies and standard operating procedures are consistently and uniformly followed at all branches.
- Reviews and evaluates regular reports of individual and branch activities; if performance gaps exist, addresses and ensures sustainable progress going forward.
- Identifies operational inefficiencies and problems, focusing on issues that impact service, and follow through with resolution.
- Manages to income/expense and operational KPI (Charge-Off, Waivers, Fee Income, Salary Expense, etc.) (Operational Expense).
- Collaborates with Branch Managers to develop and execute business/marketing strategies and programs targeted to institutional, business and consumer clients
- Ensures respective branch facilities are well maintained and esthetically inviting to clients and prospects.
Performs other duties as required and assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong knowledge and understanding of federal, state and other banking regulations
- Strong knowledge and understanding of businesses and small business banking products including lending, deposits and investment areas
- Strong relationship building/outside business development and small business credit/underwriting skills
- Ability to develop marketing strategies and successfully create and execute marketing programs targeted to institutional, business and consumer clients

- Strong proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to possess a valid driver’s license and have clean driving record in order to operate a company vehicle or conduct essential functions of the job
- Ability to successfully register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) in compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE ACT) within a 90-day timeframe after date of hire
- Ability to travel 50% of the time to visit assigned branches, attend client/bank meetings, events, conferences, etc.
- Ability to work Saturday mornings as required
EDUCATION*
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications studies or a related field required
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
EXPERIENCE*
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing a branch or department in the financial service industry of similar scope preferably with business development responsibilities: business banking, mortgage or wealth management required
- Previous experience managing a portfolio with loans and deposits of $30MM or greater required
- Active involvement in local community organizations strongly preferred
