The primary responsibility of this role is to actively support daily operations in the Repackaging Area. This includes monitoring compliance with the production forecast versus actuals, addressing distribution issues, and conducting warehouse tours to ensure proper material handling and adherence to best practices in the repackaging area.

The incumbent will work closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) for warehousing, repackaging, and distribution, to ensure alignment with the service level agreements (SLAs) established with EMBECTA’s customers, as well as with the key performance indicators (KPIs) defined in the Statement of Work (SOW).

They will also be responsible for tracking inbound processes for imported products into Mexico’s warehouse.

The Supply and Logistics Analyst will support the execution of transactions in SAP for EMBECTA Mexico.

This position reports to the Logistics and Distribution Leader, Latin America. The incumbent will execute operational tactics to ensure the supply chain supports sales in Mexico, with a constant focus on minimizing costs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Strategy Development and Execution

  • Collaborate in managing daily operations to support business goals, aiming to generate cost savings, improve customer experience, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Execute warehousing, repackaging, and distribution strategies to meet customer expectations for product delivery and service performance, optimizing cost, quality, and resource usage.
  • Work closely with 3PLs to support business objectives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ERP tools and capabilities, including data management, reporting, project timelines, regulatory requirements in Mexico, and cost efficiency.

Warehousing and Freight Management

  • Contribute to the development of fast and efficient shipping and distribution systems, warehouse operations, and management of regional third-party logistics providers, focusing on process harmonization and network optimization.
  • Support the implementation of efficient repackaging processes.
  • Collaborate on strategic cost initiatives, monitoring expenses related to repackaging, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing customer experience in warehousing, repackaging, and distribution.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to improve warehousing, repackaging, and distribution processes.
  • Manage the relationship with third-party logistics partners to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Investigate and resolve supply chain non-conformances, implementing corrective actions as needed for both suppliers and customers.
  • Ensure proper application of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Global Policies related to warehousing, repackaging, and distribution.
  • Be accountable for continuously identifying and implementing best practices in warehousing, repackaging, and distribution processes.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements by 3PL and transportation providers.

Continuous Improvements and Change Management

  • Monitor KPIs against the SOW and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Execute cost-reduction strategies within warehousing, repackaging, and distribution operations.
  • Implement best practices and ensure quality compliance across warehousing, repackaging, and distribution activities.
  • Oversee daily operations to drive performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and promote continuous year-over-year improvements in the customer experience, while maintaining or reducing annual spending.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required in supply chain, engineering or business field.
  • Experience of minimum 5+ years in a similar industry (pharma, health, medical devices.
  • Proven success managing customer centric operations in a warehouse and distribution process.
  • Experience in managing logistic & supply costs and operational efficiencies in storage.
  • Experience in managing 3PL suppliers. 
  • Experience managing continuous improvement projects in supply and logistics field.
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office suite  
  • Experience in managing good storage and distribution practices in industry (pharma, health, medical devices). 
  • Knowledge about regulatory and quality requirements in industry (pharma, health, medical devices). 
  • Computer skills including familiarity with ERP/SAP, WMS and TMS, and Microsoft Excel. 
  • Must have basic knowledge of reading, writing and speaking of the English language.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Working in an international environment a plus. 
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus 
  • Certification from a recognized supply chain institution such as APICS or CSCMP is a plus 
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, problem solving and time management skills. 
  • Strong customer orientation and customer service delivery. 
  • Ability to continuously challenge processes/procedures based on the latest industry thinking. 
  • Highest levels of personal and professional integrity.
