The role involves managing both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the risk processes are practical, effective, and aligned with all key stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the airside risk management system and safety risk register at Dublin Airport. 

In this role, you will help deliver training on the Risk Management platform, support risk assessments, contribute to the development of the Dublin Airport Safety Risk Register, and assist with safety inspections.

The Risk Management Co-Ordinator will report directly to the Safety Services Manager

 

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and support the daily management of risk assessment processes and systems, specifically focusing on CIP Airside Risk Assessments, and ensuring that appropriate risk management structures and systems are established to meet industry standards and business requirements.
  • Active participation in hazard identification sessions and Risk Assessments in conjunction with wider safety office and key internal/ external stakeholders.
  • Review risk assessments submitted by relevant Change Owners to ensure accuracy and completeness, and identifying any potential omissions, errors, or non-compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Capital Development Team to ensure comprehensive and high-quality risk assessments are included in the MoC submission, facilitating timely submission to the Regulator and supporting on-time project site initiation, thereby minimising financial impacts from delays in start dates.
  • Assist in the development of reporting platforms to support the management reporting and tracking of the status of Risks assessments and mitigation actions.
  • Active participation in safety committee structures and provide supporting documentation/presentations on risk, as required.
  • Support Safety Services Manager with the delivery of training on new Risk Management IT platform – Frequentis.
  • Take part in Safety Inspections to verify that Airside safety documentation accurately reflects on-the-ground conditions, ensuring that the outlined mitigations are implemented and effective, following a Plan-Do-Check-Act approach.  
  • Assist in the running of the Dublin Airport Safety Risk Register and in ensuring regular reporting through the safety committee structure and the management team on the risk profiles.
  • Support the continuous improvement of risk management processes at DUB by adopting a partnering approach with departmental business units, evaluating and challenging the organisation’s management of risk & recording and monitoring for effectiveness to ensure fit-for-purpose risk management structures and systems are in place to meet good standards and business needs.
  • Supporting the Safety team and the wider Operations team on safety issues and promoting the safety agenda and positive safety culture at Dublin Airport. 
  • Additional duties beyond the primary scope of this role may be assigned as needed to support the company's business requirements

Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge and Experience 

  • Third Level Qualification in a related discipline is an advantage.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Knowledge of safety legislation and implementation / operation at the Airport would be advantageous.
  • IT proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Methodical, analytical, and focused approach to work processes, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the wider Dublin Airport Safety team with excellent relationship building & communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates patience and perspective in dealing with difficult situations. 
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills and ability to work cross functionally. 
  • Acts with honesty and integrity at all times. 
  • The role holder will be a self-starter with proven ability to work to deadlines, achieve standards and work on own initiative.
