Inside Sales Support Specialist
This is currently a hybrid role that requires at least 3 days per week in the Schaumburg, IL corporate office.
The Inside Sales Support Specialist (ISSS) will be responsible for managing relationships in existing hospital accounts for Sagent. The Inside Sales Support Specialist will work in the Sagent Pharmaceuticals corporate office assisting customers to expand the number of products ordered from Sagent by promoting the current portfolio, GPO contracted products, as well as upcoming product launches. Responsible for providing excellent service and support to both internal and external contacts. Internally will support Region Business Managers (RBM's) working in a collaborative environment to manage customers day to day needs/issues. External support will include frequent customer service contact to ensure all aspects of a seamless delivery of Sagent products, assisting with new account setups and additional sales related customer service-related inquiries.
Success in the role is measured on:
- Excellent customer service and communication.
- Supporting the effort of meeting and exceeding sales goals including MBO’s.
- Collaboration with RBM team in achieving corporate goals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Primary function is placing orders for RBM’s and providing customer support and follow up to ensure smooth ordering process.
- Work collaboratively with RBM team in a support role within assigned territory (East/West).
- Effectively promote Sagent portfolio with the goal to expand reach within each account.
- Work cross-functionally with Region Business Managers and Customer Service to onboard new customer accounts and facilitate order processing.
- Ordering Portal Support for new customers within assigned territory.
- Territory Analysis through Sagent CRM system, SfNet.
- Phone, Email, Formal Teams Meetings, and other forms of communication with target accounts.
- Provide consistent communication and feedback of sales environment to Marketing, Customer Service, Product Development, and other internal departments.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
The successful candidate will have customer service, sales support, inside sales experience. Proficient in all MS Office applications and preferable have experience with CRM systems and ERP systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in their previous sales career of meeting sales targets and successful prospecting of accounts.
- Knowledge of the generic injectable space preferred.
- Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO’s), Integrated Delivery Networks, IDN’s), Prime Vendors, and multisource pharmaceuticals is highly desired.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5+ years’ experience in either healthcare related sales and or managing a book of business.
- Competence with Microsoft Office tools required.
- Successful applicant must pass a thorough background check.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Travel Requirements
- Corporate office based – Schaumburg, IL.
- Occasional customer visits as needed.
- Attendance at Trade/Industry shows as needed.
