The Fall Creek HR Generalist
What you'll do at Fall Creek:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for implementing and managing Human Resources processes within the organization. This includes personnel administration, payroll, labor relations, organizational climate, and ensuring compliance with labor policies and regulations. Their primary goal is to support both employees and leaders in all aspects related to personnel management.
Given its strategic responsibilities, this position is based at Fall Creek’s nursery and principal offices located in Tala, Jalisco, Mexico, or at any of Fall Creek Mexico's subsidiaries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Personnel administration: Act as the primary point of contact for employees and management. Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding. Ensure accurate maintenance and updates of employee data in the HRIS and payroll systems and support documentation processes.
- Payroll and benefits administration: Address employee inquiries related to benefits and payroll, acting as a liaison between employees and HR/payroll teams.
- Labor relations: Effectively manage the creation, renewal, and termination of employment contracts to ensure optimal workforce management. Implement HR policies and procedures.
- Organizational culture: Internal communication, planning and execution of events, and support special projects as required, such as employee engagement surveys, exit surveys, and other HR initiatives.
- Recruitment for operational and administrative roles: Support the recruitment team in hiring for operational and administrative positions.
- Budget control and administration for the HR department: (petty cash, purchase requisitions, expense reports, transportation service, uniforms, office supplies, and other departmental expenditures.).
What you bring to Fall Creek:
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field with a focus on Human Resources.
- 3+ years of experience in similar roles.
- Full-time availability to work at the Tala, Jalisco offices, as well as at subsidiary locations.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency with HR management tools and technology (ERP, Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and online communication platforms such as videoconferencing tools).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team, be proactive, and have a customer-service orientation with a positive attitude toward change.
- Knowledge of labor legislation and local regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- High level of discretion and professionalism in managing confidential matters.
