THE POSITION

The FIFA Fan Festival Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in the operational delivery of the FIFA Fan Festival™ across all Host Cities in Brazil for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™. Working closely with the FIFA Fan Festival Team in Zurich, this role ensures tactical alignment, operational excellence, stakeholder coordination and brand integrity across a multi-stakeholder, high-impact international event. The role includes end-to-end responsibility for planning, implementing and monitoring public events, with direct involvement in infrastructure, venue planning, budgeting and onsite delivery. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Planning & Oversight 
    • Steer the operational delivery of the FIFA Fan Festival strategy together with the FFF Team in Zurich. 
    • Set and manage operational project expectations with internal and external stakeholders. 
    • Proactively identify and manage changes in project scope; develop contingency plans for risk mitigation. 
    • Coordinate the overall project management and reporting structure for FIFA Fan Festival. 
  • Stakeholder & Team Management 
    • Manage relationships with key stakeholders such as, but not limited to Host Cities, Host Countries, production agencies and local entities. 
    • Lead and oversee a team responsible for delivering all aspects of the project, including venue managers (VMs). 
    • Organize and facilitate operational project workshops, on-site inspections, and stakeholder meetings. 
    • Ensure consistent collaboration and alignment between Zurich and Brazil-based teams. 
  • Event Delivery & Infrastructure 
    • Oversee the operational implementation of FIFA Fan Festival across Host Cities. 
    • Supervise the development of scope, design, and technical requirements for on-site core infrastructure and branding execution. 
    • Monitor and ensure proper delivery by local organisers in compliance with FIFA’s standards. 
    • Ensure correct usage and approval of FIFA event marks and oversee all related branding implementation approvals. 
  • Budgeting & Reporting 
    • Monitor Host City public event budgets and propose changes where necessary. 
    • Ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting. 
    • Prepare and support the presentation of regular management reports to FIFA leadership. 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Education & Languages 
    • Master’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications or a related field. 
    • Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) is essential. 
  • Technical Skills 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). 
    • Familiarity with SAP is an advantage. 
  • Professional Experience 
    • Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale international events, preferably in the sports sector. 
    • Proven track record working with governmental stakeholders at national, regional or local levels. 
    • Strong understanding of event infrastructure, fan engagement, and brand activation. 
  • Core Competencies 
    • Exceptional self-motivation and ability to work independently in complex environments. 
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
    • Excellent negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills. 
    • High resilience and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
    • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. 
    • Willingness and ability to travel frequently and work on-site at multiple event venues. 
  • Right to work in Brazil. 
  • Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
