Summary:

Gossamer Bio is currently seeking a Senior Director, Commercial Insights and Analytics.  The candidate will lead commercial insights and analytics, including brand analytics, field analytics, forecasting, and advanced analyses, while also leading the data procurement strategy ensuring optimization of data assets acquired.  Additionally, this position will support senior management in delivering BI solutions and dashboards that inform key analyses to effectively track and monitor business trends and inform strategic decision making.  

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for developing key reports, analytics, and data-driven insights to inform commercial performance and support decision making aligned to commercial strategy
  • Develop, analyze, and deliver comprehensive product performance reports and insights for executive leadership, supporting strategic communication with co-promotional partners and informing quarterly earnings calls. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy and alignment with corporate messaging and financial objectives. Partner with IT on developing business requirements to deliver key analytics platforms (including data warehouse as well as BI solutions)
  • Identify and deploy field resources and requirements (such as analysis platforms, reporting, technology and CRM reporting tools as needed) for effective targeting, segmentation and call planning of HCPs, HCOs and payers; manage the design, tracking, and administration of the field Incentive Compensation Program
  • Provide operational support for territory alignment and structure in preparation for future launches and continued alignment to business strategy
  • Partner with Compliance to ensure all compliance guidelines are followed relating to management, storage, utilization, and distribution of customer data
  • Own and manage commercial data sharing with all relevant and necessary cross-functional collaborators ( Market Access; Marketing; Finance; Medical Affairs) to inform both current and forecasted product performance
  • Deliver in-depth and actionable “patient-centric” analytics to C-level management by synthesizing insights from cross-functional partners (Patient Services; Marketing; Market Access; Genomics) to deliver insights across the full spectrum of patient visibility
  • Establish innovative culture that fosters the development of objective data-driven approaches to commercial analytics and cross-functional partners
  • Develop and deploy data governance to ensure centralized data acquisition and supplier management, and implement data quality processes
  • Partner with regional business leads outside the US to monitor and track business performance, provide appropriate support to global forecast process, and align with local operations personnel on data management and reporting processes
  • Inspire, coach, manage and develop employees to achieve and grow as individuals and a cohesive team

Education and Skills Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred, with a preference for degrees in Business, Management, or related disciplines.
  • 12+ plus years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred.
  • Experience working with senior, C-level management personnel to solve problems and identify/sell/implement solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to navigate complex organization and foster alignment between stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of success in transforming data into powerful information to drive commercial effectiveness.
  • Superior organizational skills including strong attention to detail and accuracy; the ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects; meet deadlines, problem-solve; exceptional analytical abilities; and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills
  • Launch experience, preferably first time launch in rare disease
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Hybrid work readiness (remote with periodic headquarters visits) and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

The expected salary range for this position is $250,000 to $280,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographical location and other job-related factors permitted by law.  This position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
