Job Title: People Resources (Human Resources) Generalist
SUMMARY:
The People Resources Generalist provides comprehensive administrative and operational support across the Minnesota and Wisconsin markets. This role supports various human resources functions, including recruitment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and personnel transactions, while ensuring all HR records are accurate and up to date. The Generalist plays a key role in supporting and facilitating conversations related to employee relations and organizational culture, contributing to a positive and engaging workplace environment.
WAGE TYPE: Salary $50,000 - $65,000 Depending on experience
FLSA Exemption: Exempt

- Serve as the primary point of contact for People Resources support, assisting team members with HR-related needs.
- Respond to general questions and inquiries across all areas of People Resources.
- Handle and safeguard confidential information with the utmost integrity.
- Coordinate employee recognition and engagement programs, including reimbursements, birthday and anniversary recognition, People Spotlight, and events committee efforts (e.g., Fun at Work and company recognition dinner).
- Complete employment verifications for current and former employees.
- Manage internal communications such as digital signage, company postings, information pipeline, business update meetings, and social media.
- Lead recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt roles through various channels including job fairs and staffing agencies.
- Facilitate the onboarding process including I-9 verification, background checks, drug screening, Minnesota new hire reporting, electronic onboarding paperwork and orientation.
- Support and track employee attendance; assist payroll with related inquiries.
- Ensure accurate documentation and filing of all HR paperwork; maintain HRIS system integrity.
- Prepare and process change of status forms, offer letters, and counseling memos, ensuring alignment with company policies.
- Assist with employee benefits communication, education, and enrollment (new hire, open enrollment, life events).
- Act as the primary coordinator for leave of absence and FMLA processes.
- Coordinate monthly health coaching schedule and assist with annual health screenings.
- Maintain various reports and records related to employment and staffing.
- Utilize and manage multiple systems including applicant tracking, onboarding, HRIS, and communication platforms.
- Support safety initiatives including documentation, committee meeting notes, and procedure oversight.
- Promote and enforce compliance with company policies, including safety standards.
- Coordinate and track employee training programs.
- Manage separation paperwork and conduct exit interviews.
- Handle occasional exposure to hazardous materials in compliance with safety procedures.
- Support Lincoln Industries’ environmental responsibility commitment.
- Perform other duties as assigned, in alignment with Lincoln Industries’ Beliefs and Drivers.

- Reports to: People Resources Manager

Education and Experience:
- Expected: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or 2–3 years of related human resources experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: Prior experience performing human resources functions and a degree in human resources or a related field.
Communication Skills:
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communications, policies, and governmental regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and relationship building.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and think critically with minimal supervision.
- Capable of interpreting a variety of instructions (written, verbal, diagrammatic, or schedule-based).
- Strong judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and flexibility.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), with the ability to learn and utilize company-specific software.
- Ability to address and resolve practical issues in dynamic or ambiguous situations where limited guidelines exist.
