The Role

We are seeking an HR Manager who is a strong HR leader, champion of team member engagement, payroll guru and knowledgeable in California labor law and familiarity with New York, Texas, New Jersey and Florida labor law a plus). A passion for delivering an amazing employee experience a must.


Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Handling employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary actions, and promoting positive employee relations. 


  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Managing the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. 


  • Compensation and Benefits: Administering employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance. 


  • Payroll Processing: Ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, bonuses, deductions, and garnishments.


  • Training and Development: Developing and implementing training programs to enhance employee skills and performance. 


  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations. 


  • HR Policies and Procedures: Developing, implementing, and updating HR policies and procedures. 


  • Performance Management: Overseeing performance management process and providing guidance to managers on performance management issues. 


  • Employee Engagement: Fostering a positive work environment and promoting employee engagement and retention. 



  • HR Metrics, Analytics and Audit: Tracking, analyzing and auditing HR and payroll data to ensure systems in sync, identify trends and inform decision-making. 


Qualifications:

  • 7–10 years of demonstrated success in an HR role (in the Financial Services industry preferred)
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR designation required
  • Strong knowledge of Fed/State/Local labor & employment laws required
  • Demonstrated experience processing payroll
  • Previous experience with Bamboo and Trinet or similar systems required
  • Unquestioned commitment to integrity in personal and professional activities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Confidence to work directly with senior leaders
  • Proven success solving problems and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, organized and deadline driven
  • Dedicated, goal-oriented, and able to work well in a self-directed and collaborative environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Efficient computer skills including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required
