We are seeking a Licensed Branch Loan Coordinator to join our team at our Corporate office. This is a fully onsite position—remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available. The Licensed Branch Loan Coordinator supports the branch production pipeline by managing and coordinating loans fully negotiated or originated by a licensed Loan Officer or Loan Officer Associate. This role is responsible for reviewing files to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and completeness before submission. The coordinator communicates with borrowers to collect required documentation and serves as a liaison between origination and processing. Because a license is required, this position may also originate specialty loans.
Evolving as a Licensed Branch Loan Coordinator by having…
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license in good standing required.
-
1–3 years of recent experience in the mortgage industry (e.g., loan officer, underwriter, or processor) preferred.
-
Previous customer service experience preferred.
-
Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is a plus.
Exciting Opportunities to Grow by…
-
Review loan applications received from the Loan Officer or Loan Officer Associate for completeness and accuracy using the DIRFT process; provide feedback to the origination team as needed.
-
Meet with borrowers to sign disclosures after the file has been fully negotiated by the licensed loan originator; collect required documentation, conditions, disclosures, and applicable fees.
-
Verify all documentation is complete and accurate; provide borrowers with a checklist of any outstanding items, including deadlines for submission.
-
Calculate and verify borrower income to ensure qualification.
-
Collaborate with the origination team to address questions regarding loan programs, qualification requirements, and income calculations.
-
Ensure all data entry in the Loan Origination System (LOS) is accurate and compliant with applicable rules and regulations.
-
Resolve file issues, bottlenecks, and qualification challenges throughout the loan production process.
-
Respond to borrower inquiries regarding loan application status, delivering prompt and professional customer service.
-
Originate specialty loans only; not authorized to originate loans outside of specialty loan programs.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.
Show us your growth with…
-
In-depth knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations related to all types of mortgage loans.
-
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive, proprietary, or trade-secret information.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as mortgage loan origination software.
-
Strong oral and written communication skills.
-
Excellent follow-up and follow-through abilities.
-
Exceptional attention to detail.
-
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, quality, and composure under pressure.
-
Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
