Job Description:

Link Solutions is seeking a Networking Administrator (Associate-Level) to join our team at White Sands Missile Range, NM.

  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The Networking Administrator (Associate-Level) will be responsible for daily network operations, maintenance, and security at the Army Research Laboratory in White Sands Missile Range, NM. You will be a part of a diverse team supporting a globally distributed information systems, responsible for the analysis, administration, voice, video, and data communications networks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support routine monitoring and performance management of network systems.
  • Help ensure the enforcement of cybersecurity policies in accordance with DoD security protocols.
  • Install and support network operating systems and applications.
  • Evaluate and maintain telecommunications systems under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Identify and troubleshoot network-related issues across LAN, wireless, and encryption environments.
  • Participate in the implementation of network policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide user support and training on basic network functionality and tools.
  • Regularly report to a Senior Network Administrator for task assignments and technical direction.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen. 
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • BA/BS Degree or an AA in computer science or information technology with two (2+) additional years of experience.
  • One (1+) year of relevant experience working in IT enterprise network engineering.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), security standards (802.1X, 802.11, MAC bridging), and media access control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in network segmentation, traffic management, and secure network architecture design.
  • In-depth knowledge of network tools, monitoring platforms, and documentation best practices.
  • Ability to plan and implement large-scale network configurations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.

Preferred:

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
  • Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.
  • Familiarity with NIST, STIG, RMF, and Federal Information Systems Controls.
  • Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
