TMB, Inc has an exciting opportunity for an Acquisition Analyst to support the Team Ships Front Office (TSFO).
Responsibilities
- The team is responsible for all acquisition and contract management support required by the TFSO Director of Acquisition.
- It includes support to development of Acquisition Strategies, development and maintenance of all program contracting actions and acquisition milestone decision documentation required by NAVSEA, the program sponsor, FMB, and the congress, to include recurring reports, responses to inquiries, facilitate contract executions, and close coordination with all TFSO division directors, and supporting performing activities in the execution of the program.
- Execution of this task requires close liaison between the support team members and all activities supporting the TFSO.
- Support acquisition planning, documentation, and execution for Navy programs.
- Prepare briefings, reports, and other materials for senior leadership.
- It also requires the support team to be responsive to unplanned, short notice requirements established by the Director of Acquisitions.
- Provide guidance and oversight to collect, review, and analyze information in order to make recommendations to the Government.
- Maintain, update, and serve as a focal point for databases or spreadsheets.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, organizing, and executing of meetings, events, and off-sites.
- Support program reviews, milestone decision reviews, and conferences.
- Develop and review briefing materials and process documentation.
- In the course of preparing recommendations, understand the nature of the organization, the relationship it has with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture.
- Provide writing assistance including preparation of technical reports and annual reports.
- Assist with other administrative duties as needed.
- Track and provide TMB monthly accomplishments for TFSO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of experience supporting U.S. Navy Acquisition programs.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle documentation and terminology.
- Preferred experience in a Navy program office, working with defense contractors and government agencies.
- DAWIA certification (Level I or II in Program Management or Contracting preferred.
- Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
- Outstanding time management and organization skills.
- Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
- Ability to be able to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
- Ability to be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in a backpack or messenger bag in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
