Texas Advocacy Project (TAP) is a statewide non-profit working to end dating and domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking in Texas. Texas Advocacy Project (TAP) is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Partnership Manager to expand support for TAP’s mission to end power-based abuse. This role focuses on cultivating high-impact partnerships with law and social work students, law firms, and corporate partners to drive engagement through internships, pro bono services, and volunteer or funding opportunities. Reporting to the CDMO, the Partnership Manager will collaborate across departments to identify organizational needs and co-create mission-aligned projects that offer value to TAP and meaningful experiences for contributors. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal and sales skills, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to build relationships through direct outreach and in-person engagement.

Position Description

  • Develop and lead TAP’s volunteer recruitment and corporate engagement strategy across three core channels:
    • Law schools, universities, and schools of social work for academic-year and summer clerkships/internships
    • Law firms for pro bono legal engagement and funding opportunities
    • Corporations for skills-based or short-term volunteer collaborations (“done-in-a-day” style), as well as funding opportunities
  • Contribute to project design, helping ensure volunteer and corporate engagement opportunities are well-structured, mission-aligned, and offer both organizational benefit and participant fulfillment without assuming responsibility for work product
  • Foster and maintain strategic relationships with academic institutions, legal professionals, agency partners, and corporate partners to build sustainable volunteer pipelines and financial resources
  • Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s services and engagement opportunities to effectively convey value to potential volunteers/interns and sponsors. 
  • Prospect new corporate partners, deliver compelling presentations, and maintain consistent meaningful communication to build and maintain strong relationships 
  • Identify and pursue new engagement opportunities through various methods, including cold calling, networking, and referrals. 
  • Maintain accurate records, track outreach, interactions, and participation to support positive engagement and long-term commitments
  • Achieve and exceed goals and performance metrics as set by supervisor
  • Represent TAP externally at law school and social work career fairs, professional events and conferences, pro bono forums, and corporate community engagement initiatives

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate outreach, outside sales, pro bono coordination, academic intern management, legal/social work program administration, or community engagement
  • Ability to convey TAP’s mission and vision to law firms, corporations and professional pipelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for building rapport with prospects and delivering effective presentations
  • Proven experience in sales, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing donors.
  • Exhibits resiliency with the ability to bounce back from setbacks and maintain a positive attitude
  •  Proven ability to build cross-sector relationships and collaborate across departments
  • Strong time management skills to manage a schedule, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and in maintaining accurate records of outreach activities, prospect interactions, and pipeline management using a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system. 
  • Ability to travel locally and work occasional evenings/weekends as needed

 

Salary range $70,000-75,000. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Texas Advocacy Project provides health insurance, malpractice insurance, CLE and State Bar dues are paid, and you have the opportunity to participate in the Project’s matching retirement plan.
