The primary responsibilities for the position of Security Supervisor is the supervision of assigned security officers e.g. monitor and evaluate the performance, receive & conduct the initial investigation of complaints, approve leave requests, adjust working schedules to maintain daily coverage, schedule staffing for special event details, respond to incidents involving security officers; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form, complete all required paperwork in a timely manner, operate two-way radio, telephone, and basic computer skills. The Security Supervisor will also assist in traffic control, the monitoring of parking lot facilities, performing motorists assistance, providing escorts upon request and providing general information to visitors as well as the university community. Any other task or detail as assigned by the Security Officer Coordinator or chain of command.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform supervision of security officer staff
Complete performance evaluation of security officers
Complete investigation of alleged complaints against security officer
Complete weekly security officer schedule
Complete special event staffing
Provide Supervision during event staffing
Perform motorist assistance
Perform ride share escorts
Perform traffic control for special functions
Receive communications from security staff after hours
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Supervisor experience
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
