Management Level:
M2SUMMARY: This position involves directing and training supervisors in various areas, including production paperwork, yields, time and attendance, discipline, motivation, turnover, absenteeism, safety, problem-solving, and more. The role is accountable for performance, safety, quality, workers' compensation, turnover, bid movement, team member morale, and other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience. Preferably, two years of employment at Tyson or equivalent experience. Familiarity with processing floor operations and HACCP certification is a plus, along with an understanding of basic HACCP principles and the ability to perform CCP monitoring and verification. Knowledge of fresh meat processing is also advantageous.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to access all areas of the production floor for audits and inspections, including fixed ladders, stairs, and steps. Must be able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility, with temperatures ranging from 28 to 45 degrees.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Special Skills: Team leadership, problem-solving, and motivation to take on special projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for all production operations at the facility, including managing production supervisors, department production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification schedules, and overseeing the safety committee. This includes reviewing team members in these roles and developing improvements in areas that are deficient.
Travel: Some travel is required as needed.
