The Emergency Management Facilities Coordinator IV will support the Emergency Manager within the Department of Public Safety by providing administrative assistance and support. As the EMFC learns the overall functions of the University’s Emergency Management Division, they will be expected to assist with presentations, provide guidance to campus stakeholders, and assist with maintaining and operating in an open Emergency Operations Center. This is an entry level position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Update, distribute, and maintain all records related to the Building Emergency Coordinator (BEC) program for over 150 buildings, including the Building Emergency Action Plans (BEAPs), evacuation maps, storm shelters, and training materials.
Serve as coordinator for emergency preparedness presentations and trainings, including communicating with involved parties, scheduling on behalf of the Emergency Manager, updating presentation materials, and assisting with presentation technology set-up.
Maintain written and electronic University-wide records for the Emergency Management Department. Learn how to use and administer the University’s emergency notification system (RAVE), and work with the CardArmor safety application.
Write agendas, create documents, and attend meetings with university leaders, government officials, and students.
Maintain the Department of Public Safety website, updating photographs and content.
Develop progressive independence from the Emergency Manager in order to conduct presentations, facilitate meetings, provide trainings, and serve as a resource for the campus community in all areas related to Emergency Management.
Preferred Qualifications
FEMA Professional Development Series Certifications, Hazwopper Certification, NWS Weather Certifications.
Emergency Management/First Responder experience.
FEMA Certifications – All Incident Command Courses; 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800.
Professional speaking or teaching experience.
Competencies

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
