Job Summary: The Certified Recovery Support Worker position is responsible for ensuring a good client experience during substance use treatment. Certified Recovery Support Workers provide treatment information to clients, schedule appointment, maintain health records, refer to community resources and establish and support case management treatment goals. An essential component of this position is engaging collateral contact for holistic client care. Certified Recovery Support Workers have the ability to focus on relapse prevention skills, wellness and life skills.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to interface with peers, colleagues, services providers, family members and community member in an empathetic, professional manner.
- Provide case management and recovery education
- Facilitate and/or co-facilitate recovery groups.
- Coordinate and/or provide linkages to community recovery supports and referrals needed to individuals.
- Knowledge and practice the 12 core functions of Substance Use Disorder Treatment
- Participant in an integrated health care model, by providing care coordination and case management services based on client’s needs.
- Ability to understand and abide by the requirements of 42 CFR and HIPAA requirements.
- Practice cultural competency with establishing rapport and relationships with participants from other cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Accurately upkeep documentation of group notes, individual sessions, treatment plans and all interactions with clients in a timely fashion; abide my record keeping policy of the agency and professional practice.
- Participant in quality improvement practices
- Ability to work on a team, collaborate with other professionals internally and externally with clear and concise communication.
- Involvement in a variety of projects and initiatives as assigned but not limited to: outreach to peers service providers and the recovery community.
- Attend local and statewide trainings and additional trainings as required.
- Assist incoming clients with obtaining mainstream resources as applicable.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses):
· Certified (CRSW) or able to obtain within 6 months of employment
· Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance is required.
· Work with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
