Job Summary:

This role is responsible for operational security duties including the development and implementation of security standards, procedures and guidelines. Under limited supervision monitors, evaluates, and maintains systems and procedures to safeguard the organizations data and systems from exposure. Informs workforce of security related topics and provides training. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Drafts and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Eberspaecher/Purem and customers security requirements
• Serves as a liaison to the Global security team for local and network security issues
• Audits system usage to confirm that employees have the proper level of information access
• Ensures that the physical location of computer and related hardware is secured
• Conducts IT information systems audits to ensure system information is secure from breach and unauthorized access
• Conducts audits to assess the efficiency and efficacy of data recovery programs
• Informs and educates the workforce about information technology security procedures and company policies
• Maintains patching of firmware and software on Infrastructure systems
• Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Extensive knowledge of computer systems.
• Extensive knowledge of data communications security procedures.
• Ability to install security software to monitor system usage.
• Understanding of patching processes and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field experience.
• Three years of related experience preferred.
