Medical Assistant (MA)

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform new hire physical assessments.
  • Provide immediate first-aid to all company employees suffering from occupational, non-occupational, or emergency injury/illnesses, within nursing scope.
  • Assist in continuity of care to injured/ill employees under care of a doctor due to a work-related injury.
  • Exercise absolute confidentiality and professionalism during employee interactions 
  • Maintain company clinics along with all medical equipment which includes but is not limited to: AED’s, Oxygen tank(s), and DME
  • Document and maintain employee medical records, including but not limited to: incident reports, patient progress notes, first-aid logs.
  • Assist LVN Supervisor with employee offsite visits and surgeries, on an as-needed basis.
  • Investigate, document and report work related incidents to appropriate medical staff, HR staff and supervisors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications  

  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • Punctual and organized
  • Eye- hand coordination
  • Mature, responsible, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and follow through.
  • Willing to get involved in anything and everything with an “It Can Be Done” attitude.
  • Able to multi-task handling several projects, while working independently or with a team.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and have email skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, open work-space environment.
  • Ability to work well with a team or autonomously.


Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, standing and walking interchangeably.   May at times be required to walk for long periods and may involve climbing stairs, walking up inclines, and on uneven terrain. 
  • Lifting and or moving up to 15 lbs.  
  • May at times be required to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push or pull.
