Job Description

As a Product Security Engineer at Eptura, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our product security function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a cloud engineer or architect looking to transition into security. You’ll gain hands-on experience across application security, cloud security posture management (CSPM), and vulnerability management, all while being supported by strong mentorship and a collaborative team.

Your mission? Help us deliver secure, scalable SaaS solutions by embedding security into every layer of our development lifecycle, infrastructure, and tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Support Cloud & Product Security Initiatives
Work across our SaaS platforms—especially in Azure and AWS—to strengthen security posture.
  • Operate & Optimize CSPM Tools
Manage CSPM alerts and help design controls that reduce cloud risk and enhance visibility across multi-cloud environments.
  • Drive Vulnerability Management
Lead efforts in scanning, triage, remediation coordination, and metrics tracking for both product and cloud environments.
  • Embed Security in DevOps
Partner with CloudOps and Engineering to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Advise on Secure Cloud Architecture
Provide guidance on IAM, encryption, networking, and logging to ensure secure cloud design.
  • Apply DevSecOps Principles
Bring a basic understanding of DevSecOps tools, processes, and culture to support secure development.
  • Understand Threats & Secure SDLC
Apply knowledge of threat modeling and the secure software development lifecycle to real-world systems.
  • Contribute to Security Reviews
Assist with security assessments, architecture reviews, and threat modeling for new features and services.
  • Enhance Incident Response Readiness
Collaborate with incident response teams to ensure visibility and coverage of key product environments.
  • Document & Innovate
Contribute to security documentation, tooling development, and ongoing risk reduction initiatives.
  • Stay Curious & Keep Learning
Continuously upskill in product security, DevSecOps, and cloud-native security trends.

About You

  • Cloud Experience (2+ Years)
Hands-on experience in cloud engineering or operations, especially in AWS and Azure.
  • Security-Minded & Eager to Learn
You’re excited to grow in security—prior exposure to security tools or concepts is a plus, but not required.
  • Comfortable with Scripting & Automation
Proficient in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automating tasks and solving problems.
  • Experience with Containers & Microservices
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or microservices architecture.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code Knowledge
Experience with tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong Communicator & Collaborator
Able to explain technical risks clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bonus Skills
Experience with CSPM tools, vulnerability scanners, or security benchmarks (e.g., CIS, CSA, Well-Architected Framework).
  • Certifications (Nice to Have)
Credentials like AZ-500, SC-100, GCPN, GPCS, or AWS Security are a plus, but not required.

Benefits

  • Health, Dental, Vision & Pet Insurance
  • Dependent, Spousal and Domestic Partner coverage available
  • Up to $1000 Company HSA Contribution
  • Medical, Dependent Care and Limited FSA Accounts
  • Income Protection and Replacement - 100% Company Paid
    • Short Term Disability
    • Long Term Disability
    • Life Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Flexible PTO
  • 401K with company match
