Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, coordinate and supervise programs for technical training in the Production and Packaging Departments
- Develop training outlines and course materials
- Identify Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) for specific topics and provide them guidance and support for them to train others in particular aspects of the production jobs
- Provide training to department employees
- May Work with department supervision to evaluate training and technical skills of the production staff
- Manages record keeping and data entry on all training related aspects
- Tracking EtQ (Quality/Training) status regarding all aspects of Document Control and Training in order to keep department updated on all fronts
- Manage incoming people to the department (new hires/transfers): ordering/providing required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), touring the area, performing initial training, organizing 30-day reviews with Area Manager
- Tracking of Mobile Equipment PMs execution
- Assisting EHS on deploying EHS related Training on group sessions for the operators
- Writing Work Orders, as needed, for Floor Repairs, Roof Leaks, Equipment repairs
- Ordering items in Oracle to keep existing materials on the floor on stock
- Assisting during Physical Inventories, Coil Traceability
- Participate on EHS and Quality Incident Investigations
- Organize Communication Meetings, update presentations with Departmental information, helping deploy information to crews as needed
- Help Department audit protocols
- Conduct observations and provide input to operators and leadership
- Perform shop floor inspections (Safety, Housekeeping, Compliance) as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- 2 years relevant experience developing/implementing training infrastructure and programs or equivalent experience
- Experience in a safety/training role
- Proven abilities in leading training and leadership development projects linked to business objectives
- Excellent organization, documentation, and follow-up skills
- Collaboration skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects and work under deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- 5 years relevant experience developing/implementing training infrastructure and programs or equivalent experience
- ABS knowledge
- Proven abilities in leading training and leadership development projects linked to business objectives
- Industry and related products knowledge is a plus
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
