What is the objective of this project and what does it consist ?

 

To support the strategic deployment of the Government Affairs function by strengthening institutional engagement and contributing to the company’s positioning in the aerospace sector. This role is key to monitoring political and regulatory developments, managing public funding opportunities, and coordinating institutional projects aligned with ITP Aero’s strategic roadmap. 

 

 

Main accountabilities: 

 

  • Monitor and analyze institutional, political, and regulatory developments at international, national, and regional levels. 

  • Drafting internal reports and strategic notes on public affairs and policies related to the aerospace sector: This involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting relevant information from governmental sources, international organizations, and specialized media. These documents will provide guidance and recommendations to senior management, facilitating informed decision-making in the face of regulatory changes, trends, or sectoral initiatives. 

  • Identifying, evaluating, and managing public funding opportunities (subsidies, grants, etc.): This requires staying up to date on programs, calls, and available funds at the national and European levels. The person in this role will analyze the suitability and potential impact of each opportunity, prepare the necessary documentation, and coordinate project proposals to benefit from these external resources. 

  • Coordinating projects funded with public resources in collaboration with internal departments: This responsibility includes leading or supporting the management of projects that receive public contributions, ensuring compliance with deadlines, legal requirements, and technical objectives. It also involves acting as a liaison between the company's different teams and funding institutions, ensuring efficient communication and execution aligned with the corporate strate 

  • Mapping and managing relationships with institutional stakeholders, including public administrations, European bodies, and industry associations: This means identifying key contacts, maintaining an updated contact agenda, and developing strong ties with influential figures in the institutional environment. These actions are fundamental to anticipating trends, defending the company’s interests, and positioning it as a benchmark in the sector. 

  • Supporting the definition and implementation of the company’s institutional positioning strategy: You will contribute to the preparation of key messages, communication materials, and the organization of events or meetings with stakeholders. The goal is to strengthen the company’s image and increase its visibility with relevant entities. 

  • Collaborating in the development of internal governance and compliance mechanisms related to institutional engagement: This includes defining procedures, indicators, and controls that ensure transparency and ethics in all institutional activities, minimizing risks, and fostering trust among different stakeholders. 

  • Ensuring alignment of institutional activities with corporate priorities and strategic initiatives: This involves coordinating interdepartmental efforts, monitoring the progress of actions, and adjusting planning to respond to new opportunities or challenges, always in line with the organization’s overall objectives. 

 

 

This position will report to Government Affairs Excellence Associate Director

 

 

 

  What profile are we looking for? 

 

 

  • Education: Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in political science, International Relations, Law, Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering. 

  • Experience in

    • At least 5 years of experience in similar roles in strategic consultancies, companies, public bodies,  Spanish or European institutions. 

    • Areas such as public affairs, government relations, project management, or compliance in industrial or technological sectors will be highly valued.  

    • The aerospace sector is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory frameworks and institutional funding processes.
  • Knowledge of the Spanish and European institutional ecosystem, as well as public financing mechanisms. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.  
  • Lenguages: good Spanish and English level 
  • Soft Skills:  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in changing environments,manage complex networks and work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams is important and analyze and summarize strategic information, and to turn policy changes into concrete actions.  

  • Methodical and systematic approach, with a strong focus on teamwork. 

  • Strategic thinking and institutional awareness.
