Title: Staff Accountant
Summary of Role
The Staff Accountant is a key contributor on the company’s global accounting team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of tasks that ensure that the company’s financial records are accurate, complete, and the financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). These tasks include but are not limited to: ensuring that journal entries are posted accurately, balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled, and support is provided to internal customers and other members of the accounting team.

-Competent level of communication (great listener and effective written/verbal skills)
-Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
-Progressive growth in public or corporate accounting
-General understanding of accounting systems and ERP
-Able to manage time well, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
-Self-motivated to be an individual contributor
-Willing to be involved and drive change management
-Moderate to advanced skillset in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
-Advocate for themselves on possible solutions to processes
-Willing to partner with other accounting staff on complex projects
-Excellent communication skills
