JOB SUMMARY:

The VP, Provider Risk Adjustment is responsible for developing and leading provider-facing risk adjustment strategies that drive accurate coding, complete documentation, and improved risk score accuracy across value-based contracts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all aspects of Provider Risk Adjustment Operations (domestic & global) and execution of best practices, standard operating procedures, operational strategy and processes for all related technology and solutions
  • Serve as a key leader and subject matter expert within the organization and client-facing
  • Partner with senior management and other departments executive to develop training and workflow improvements
  • Advise senior management and other departments on provider risk strategies and initiatives
  • Review and implement new technology tools and operational processes including requirements for dashboard reporting, benchmarking, prevalence metrics and workflow optimization
  • Stay informed of all CMS, HCC, ICD requirements and changes
  • Participate in staff meetings, client calls, conferences and other meetings as needed
  • Coaching and mentoring to teams
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as requested
  • Travel to include internal meetings, client-facing meetings, conferences

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of related healthcare experience including Provider Risk Adjustment
  • Management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge & understanding of ACA RA, Medicare Advantage RA, CMS, ACO’s, V24/V28, EMR’s & Interoperability
  • Proven track record of building and operationalizing standard operating procedures policies, best practices, client-playbooks, pre and post implementation processes
  • Knowledge of medical conditions, interventions, treatment and medications
  • Excellent oral, written communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively articulate and present information
  • Ability to engage with senior level business and clinical stakeholders with clients & prospects
  • Ability to effectively articulate and present information internal & external stakeholders
  • Experience working with Google Suite of applications, EMRs, Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The ability to perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day and function in an environment with constant interruptions is required.
